Fanikisha Maisha na Mshwari Promotion Launched



The M-Shwari platform has launched a promotional initiative aimed at encouraging a saving culture among Kenyans and increasing the customer base from the current six million.

Speaking during the launch of the promotion at Safaricom House Thursday, Commercial bank of Africa CBA- who operates M-Shwari- CEO Jeremy Ngunze said the initiative is aimed at building a saving culture among Kenyans.

Ngunze said that the majority of their clients are the youth who at many times do not have the collateral to get loan through the other banking loan options.

Huawei announces its 6.1" Ascend Mate 2




Huawei, China's largest cellphone manufacturer, is releasing the Ascend Mate2, a 4G capable phone that has a screen size of 6.1in, , slightly bigger than the already enormous Samsung Galaxy Note 3, along with the 1,280 x 720 resolution.

It's almost clicks the size of a tablet, giving rise to the term "phablet". It's the successor to a phone of the same size launched last year.

Lenovo’s Miix 2 tablets use magnets to switch into a laptop




Lenovo is launching its new Miix 2 range with lots of magnets and modes designed to complement the mixed PC and tablet experience of Windows 8.1. 

With the options of a 10.1-inch and 11.6-inch models, both work as a tablet that attaches to a keyboard dock.

Samsung has developed the industry’s first eight gigabit (Gb), low power double data rate 4 (LPDDR4), mobile DRAM.

The 8Gb LPDDR4 is fabricated on 20-nanometer (nm) class process technology, and offers 1 gigabyte (GB) on a single die, which is the largest density available for DRAM components today.
