The electronics company has now edged up its innovation by creating the G Flex, a curved Smartphone.
The phone comes with a massive 6-inch, 720p display.
The bendable display can flex quite a bit more on its own than it can once fitted inside the phone.
It comes with a non-removable battery, which is both curved and can flex just like the display.
G Flex’s glass on the front is made quite thin to allow it to bend along with the rest of the phone.
LG indicates that the phone was tested and could stand 88 pounds of pressure repeated 100 times without deforming.
The company revealed that they have been working on the device for about three years.
The design was motivated by the experience of sitting and watching a curved 55-inch HDTV from 10 feet away which they wanted to replicate this on a phone, a reason why they have a 6-inch screen size.
LG has consistently referred to the phone as an immersive media playback device.
Singapore and Hong Kong would be the first regions outside South Korea to get the G Flex but no word yet on when customers in the US and other nations might be able to purchase one.
